Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [so] ye would abound more and more.

Finally, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, just as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more.

As to the rest, then, brethren, we request you, and call upon you in the Lord Jesus, as ye did receive from us how it behoveth you to walk and to please God, that ye may abound the more,

(1) Remaining then brothers, we request and urge you in אָדוֹן Adonai (Lord) ישוע Yeshua (Yah’s Salvation). So that, as you received from us, how you should walk and please אֱלֹהִים Elohim (God), just as you do also walk, so that you abound more so.
